We have already written about – how Microsoft is getting ready to improve its position in the browser market by making huge improvements in the new version – Internet Explorer 9.
We have seen how Internet Explorer 9 is just as fast and secure as other browsers.
The next major iteration of Microsoft’s browser will reach the Beta development milestone on September 15th, 2010.
IE9 Beta Launch Event:
“Reception for IE9 has been very positive since MIX with over 2.5 million downloads of the platform previews. The most recent platform preview – the 4th one – was released last week.” revealed James Pratt , IE senior product manager.
With IE9 hitting Beta, the software giant is gearing up to celebrate the “Beauty of the Web” in San Francisco on September 15th. The “Beauty of the Web” website is already live, and comes with a small puzzle that can be resolved by typing “native.”
The native web could be a reference to HTML5. Internet Explorer 9 will support HTML5 elements through a new scripting engine.

Developers are already working hard on some amazing new web experiences enabled by Internet Explorer 9. On September 15th we’ll be able to see a more beautiful web that feels native on Windows via the Internet Explorer 9.
I think its better late than never and Microsoft have certainly picked up their game since Google launched Chrome. We have already seen how Bing has made Google up its search game. Competition leads to better products and ultimately the user wins.
We have used the Latest IE9 platform preview and its really impressive. We hope the final version would be lightweight and consume minimum resources. This would propel Internet Explorer back into spotlight of browser wars.
You can visit the Beauty of the Web website to confirm your attendance if you live near San Francisco.
