Twitter currently receives over 180 Million unique visitors a month, gaining 300,000 new users per day in the process. In light of these groundbreaking figures, the importance of having a Twitter handle for your website or company has never been more apparent. However, the benefits of Twitter rely heavily on the size of your following.

TweetAdder is a clever, automated program which sets out to gain you, followers, even when your account is idle.

In order to extend your Twitter reach, TweetAdder allows you to gain followers by automatically following them first. However, TweetAdder also allows you to target specific accounts which follow the most influential Twitter users in your industry. Since you offer a similar service or product, his or her followers will be interested in you, and will thus follow you back.

How to use TweetAdder

To install TweetAdder, head over to their website and select the download suited to your operating system.

Please Note: This guide includes steps which require the purchase of a TweetAdder activation key which starts from $55.

Once TweetAdder has been successfully installed and activated, you will need to link the program to your desired Twitter account. To do this, open up TweetAdder and select “Manage Users” as shown below.

Once you have clicked “Followers of a User,” you will then be able to enter the username of the Industry giant who’s followers you are targeting.

Searching-for-Users

Once you have entered the desired account name, click “Search Now.” TweetAdder will then begin to gather the usernames of every single person who follows the specified Twitter account. Whilst the search is ongoing, you will see a screen which says ‘Extracting IDs from Page 1’. The longer you wait, the more pages TweetAdder will fetch, with each page contains roughly 50 usernames. When you are satisfied with the amount, click “Stop.”

Viewing-List-of-Users

As shown above, Once you click “Stop,” TweetAdder will display a long list of all the usernames it has gathered, along with some information about each user.

If needed, you may deselect certain users for TweetAdder to skip, but this is usually not necessary. Once you are content with the list, click “Save All” which is located at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

Saving-User-List

Now that you have saved your follow list, TweetAdder knows which accounts you want it to follow. Your next step is to head over to “Follow” found on the sidebar, as shown below.

You will now be presented with TweetAdder’s automation options. As seen in the image below, you can set the amount of follows to send per day, as well as how often to implement each follow. This feature is handy, as sending too many follows within a short period of time could result in an account suspension by Twitter.

Additionally, a following to follower ratio ca be set in order to maintain a higher level of followers at all times.

The settings seen above can be used a guideline. You may increase or decrease the values depending on the size of your Twitter profile. The general rule is the larger your following, the more accounts you can follow per day. Once you are happy with your settings, hit “Automation On” at the top of the screen.

Your next step is to click on “Unfollow User” which is yet again found on the sidebar.

Here, you can set similar settings which instruct TweetAdder to send an equal amount of unfollows per day, for those accounts which did not follow you back. For example, in the image below I have instructed TweetAdder to unfollow all users who have not followed me back after I have followed them for one day.

Once again, these settings are a guideline and can be changed to suit your own preferences. When you are happy with your unfollowing settings, hit “Automation On” at the top of the screen.
