Fairy Tail is an ongoing anime series based on the Japanese manga written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima.
The series has been very well received both as manga and anime and a film based on Fairy Tail will be released in 2012. In its early days, Fairy Tail was often seen as an adaptation of One Piece as the Natsu showed a character similar to Luffy from One Piece. But going ahead, Fairy Tail has carved a totally independent space for itself and now has a massive following.
