VINSIC Ultra-Slim Power Bank Review

From the start, this VINSIC power bank boasts being able to charge an iPhone 5/5S up to ten times in one charge. It supports your typical slew of devices, such as phones, tablets and basically anything with USB support.

It came out of its beautiful packaging with about 56 percent of battery life ready to go. Don’t be deceived, this is a big power bank, not just in capacity but in size and weight:

  • Size: 6.8 x 4.8 x 0.5 inches
  • Weight: About one pound (~ 450 grams)

This is not your typical power bank, and if you’re looking for something inconspicuous to carry around with you to charge, this may not be it. It works well in a backpack or rolling bag, allowing you to charge and go. If you’re looking for a power bank you can conceal, this isn’t it and you’re looking for the wrong type of power bank. If you’re a power user, on the go or travel a lot, this power bank is a great investment for the price and capacity you get out of it.

It’s slim, sleek and comes in a variety of metallic colors. The one I am reviewing is a metallic silver and simply beautiful. It’s definitely the most beautiful power bank I’ve ever used and I’ve had several people ask me about it just on its look alone.

VINSIC 20000mAh is pretty slim for its size.

One of the unique features of the VINSIC 20000mAh power bank is its display. On most power banks, you press a button to see how much charge is left. On this power bank, you simply touch the display next to the charging ports. It’ll light up and tell you how much charge capacity is left. While charging devices, it stays lit up to let you know how it’s being used and turns off once a device is unplugged.

This VINSIC power bank is charged via micro USB either by wall charger or by another device on the go, although I recommend only charging via wall charger whenever possible. It took close to 12 hours to charge the power bank from zero percent to 100 percent, which isn’t too bad when you consider how much battery life it holds.

I tested my Samsung Galaxy S5 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 with the VINSIC power bank and was incredibly impressed by how quickly and efficiently it charged both devices.

All ports are properly labeled.

It features both 2.1A and 1A charging ports. I found the charging quality on both to be on par with the output you should be getting when charging devices. You can charge two devices at the same time and in my experience it doesn’t seem to slow down charging on either device while doing so.

I was able to charge my Galaxy S5 in its normal amount of time from five percent to 100 percent with its 3.0 USB charging/data cable. It was only slightly slower with a generic USB charging cable. My tablet charged as normal, too, with a generic cable and in the 2.1A charging port.

This power bank utilizes a smart charging feature to avoid overcharging your devices. When they’re done charging, the power bank recognized this and turns off, so it not only saves your devices from the drawbacks of overcharging, but it also preserves the charge capacity of the power bank as well.

Conclusion

In my time reviewing various products over the years, I don’t think I’ve ever been impressed with the overall presentation and use of a product as I am with this VINSIC 20000mAh power bank.

I can’t say enough good things about it. If you can get over its size, which is the only real drawback, this power bank will keep you going over and over. If you’re looking for a power bank with a really large capacity, the VINSIC 20000mAh power bank is what you’ve been dreaming of.

  1. I owned a lot of portable chargers and most after 3 months start to not holding up as much power compared to when I first bought them. Maybe these other brands might be better I will have to give them a try. However, ill suggest the Powergo ss 5000 from tech get go. Its not put on the list here. I have owned this product for about 5 months now and I must say its my new must have portable charger. Its recharges so much more faster then the previous power banks I owned. It recharges itself so quick that I can feel its like 15 times faster charge speeds then any other portable chargers I have owned including my new Qualcomm Q.C. 3.0 portable charger I also bought from amazon to give it a try. the power bank pretty much finished charging itself in like under 15 minutes. When I use it to recharge my iPhone it recharges not as fast but I can tell it charges much faster then my wall charger. I would have to recommend the powergo ss 5000 to anyone who wants a really quick charging power bank. surprisingly
