The issue is more with a network printer, but the wired printer can also cause offline printer issues. Such printer problems can be due to faulty device drivers, connection issues, incorrect printer settings, and a temporary glitch.
14 Solutions to Fix Printer Is Offline Issue
You can go through the solutions given below to fix the printer and start printing again. The solutions apply to both wired and network printers.

1. Check if the Printer is On and Connected Correctly
You need to check if the printer is on and is working. Another thing to check, when the printer is offline error comes up, is whether it is connected properly or not.
If you are using a network printer, make sure it is connected to the same Wi-Fi network your PC is connected to. And in the case of a wired printer, make sure the USB cable is not damaged or loose at any end of the connection. You can try switching the USB port and check if the printer issue is resolved.
2. Restart Windows PC
If the printer is offline just because of a temporary glitch, you can try restarting your PC to fix it.
Click on the Windows logo on the taskbar and then click on the Power icon. Select Restart from the options.

8. Restart Print Spooler Service

You need to log in using an administrator account to restart the print spooler service. A normal account won’t allow you to restart this service.
Press Windows key + R to open Run and type services.msc there. Click OK to open the Services app.
